About Us

DanceLink is truly a result of forty years of what I call my “Labor of Love”!

I was born and raised in a dance family the youngest of six children. I was very fortunate because every day was “Dance Day” for me! Over the years I could see the importance for dancers of all ages to have opportunities to grow and develop their skills in classes, workshops, conventions & competitions. The more opportunity our dancers have to experience new styles with the best up & coming dancers in the country the better educated and well-rounded dancers they will become. I created Utah Dance Championships to bring open events to dancers all over Utah. Since it has grown to participants from eleven states I have changed the name to DANCELINK!

It has been my lifetime goal to bring positive rewarding dance events to as many dancers as possible! I am now a recently retired dance studio owner who still wants to provide quality, uplifting dance experiences, events and competitions to dancers of all ages and levels! It is an honor and a privilege to work with some of the most amazing dancers from “So You Think You Can Dance” and bring them here to share their talent and experiences with our dancers! I also strive to have the most organized events and competitions with the best awards and most qualified judges available!

DanceLink offers an environment for DANCERS to develop their self-esteem and skills while training with some of the leading dancers and choreographers in the industry. At our workshops we divide dancers into mini dancers, intermediate dancers, advanced dancers, advanced professional dancers and teachers. For competitions – dancers are divided by age, level & style. All divisions are no larger than 6 in any category and all dancers are rewarded for their efforts!

Over the past five years DanceLink & Utah Dance Championships has awarded over $40,000 in dance scholarships to Studios that have participated in Competitions, Dancers who have excelled at workshops and master classes, and dancers in a hardship situation that would not otherwise be able to participate.

I am so grateful for the opportunity I have to continue to be part of this creative dance world we live in! My goal is to continue to provide as many dance opportunities and help make a difference in the lives of as many dancers (young & old) as possible. It was only a few years ago that Tadd Gadduang, Melece Miller, Marcquet Hill & Hailee Payne were just some of the students at many of these workshops! Who will we be cheering on in the next season’s of “So You Think You Can Dance?”

It could be YOU!

Sincerely and with much love,

Tami Larson XOXO
